i bought a usb adapter to use my snes controller on my laptop but something's wrong with the d-pad and it's not the controller's fault.

i have a macbook pro that has mac and windows dual-booted on the same hardware. when i use it on my mac side the d-pad acts fucked. whenever you try to configure the controls to the d-pad it thinks like left is constantly being pushed whenever you're not pushing right; or like down is constantly being pushed whenever you're not pushing up. its stupid like i've googled it too there's other people experiencing this.

it does it on every emulator too it's retarded. like on windows it doesn't do that it works fine and it was advertised to work on both mac and windows.
any remedies? i know you guys are scientists at this shit haha.

lol...i would except snes9x is better on mac in my opinion...it has all these settings you can tweak that are cool like adding a screen warp, old school tv fuzz in the picture, sound alterations to make it sound like your playing in a small bedroom or a big living room...all sorts of cool stuff. plus if im gonna use it for any emulator it will be for an actual snes emulator.

i just tried it but no it didn't
its so stupid like it doesn't recognize the 4 directions on the d-pad as individual buttons it recognizes them as the X and Y axis and whenever i try to configure it then like only one direction works. so if i configure the x axis to the left and right arrow keys than only right on the d-pad works but if i push it on the keyboard both left and right work WTF

Sounds like macs just have trouble with 'windows' USB joystick devices. Unless there's a fixed driver that handles generic USB sticks better on macs I dunno what to suggest.
