My PS3 is dead.

Post by blackmagepwns »

Two days ago I was playing my PS3 and I keep it on my floor (which just happens to be tile) in the upright position, I'm playing it wireless and the cord is neatly folded beside it and all the sudden it just decides to fall over with a loud thump. This does not disrupt the game I'm playing at the moment to the slightest bit, and I finish my game, decide to go back home (I live in a dorm), and upon my return my PS3 decides to YLOD and give me hdd error codes. Also, no warranty here, and I lost around two hundred dollars worth of dlc.

You won't lose the DLC -- you can activate up to 5 PS3 systems for any of your downloaded content before a call to Sony needs to happen. If you fix your current PS3/replace the hard drive, you can simply re-download everything quite conveniently without wasting an activation.

Sorry to hear of your troubles though.

I can't understand for the life of me why though. For the attention maybe?

Anyways, onto something that contributes. I would give these guys a call http://www.gophermods.com/index.php?l=p ... etail&p=37 I hear good things about them and the price is right. Sorry about your PS3 man.

I think his sense of humor amounts to being so unfunny that it becomes kinda funny again.

...I can sympathize with him.

It is a shame to loose a BC PS3 thought.

Did you just recently install the new firmware update - 3.55? I just created a new thread regarding peoples' PS3's crashing and bricking after downloading it.
