Why does my ps3 get online in a snap, 360 always a problem

I must admit that from my admittedly limited online experience with both that I've had more experience with the 360. However I've decided not to buy anymore games for the 360 (except for must have exclusives) because I've had 2 of them die and zero ps3 problems.

Honestly thought, I've always had much more luck with my 360 online. It always seems faster and more reliable. Downloading stuff on PSN is very very slow for me.

Are your systems plugged up with an ethernet cable or are you using a wireless connection?

Both of them have are using a wireless adapter. It is a PS3 Slim and a launch 360.

The thing that most surprises me about the PS3 is the fact that I have it wireless and it never lags.. It's like a plugged in desktop as far as online multiplayer is concerned.. The PS Store is easy to browse as well.. The web browser sucks though... The wii actually has a better one, just that it isn't scaled up but, better for navigation though..

My 360 doesn't connect at all anymore when plugged in with a ethernet cable. I refuse to buy the wireless adaptor, probably wouldn't work anyways. I plugged in my netbook to the same cable and it worked fine so its not a cable or router/modem issue. Now I sit, on my 5th or 6th broken 360, to be honest I've lost count. I've had 2 disc read errors and about 3 or 4 RRODs. Weird thing is its in a very open space in a very cool room in the house. I'm just not paying to have this POS fixed so something else breaks a month later. Anyone have suggestions on how to fix this thing myself? I had a HDD issue, replaced it with a used one, lost all my saves & DLC naturally, a week later this happens, now I can't redownload all my DLC and games what the fuck. I'll never buy Microsoft hardware again. Sorry to hijack the thread man, just be happy it still connects....I guess.

It's cool. Yeah, I'm really fed up with the 360. It has some great exclusives, but the hardware itself annoys me, as does many of Microsoft's practices like how much they regulate everything, making people pay for online, horrible menu layout(compared to the PS3), introducing the horror that was achievements into the gaming world, the endless glut of shooters and multi-player games, etc, etc. I really hope the big M gets its ass kicked when the next gen of consoles go to battle

I love my PS3 and I am hoping to acquire a Wii very soon. Were it not for the occasional cool title like Deathsmiles, I'd shove my 360 into a closet and forget about it

I am able to log in with little or no problems with both systems equally. My Wii, on the other hand, she's a bitch.
