The pin trick is a lot easier. On each of the gold teeth, there is a notch or tooth at the bottom. The converter games have them off to ther right versus the non-convertor games being centered.
I found mine in a copy of pinball, and knowing this trick made it a lot easier to locate one. If the teeth aren't to one side, it's not in the game. Gyromite has them in about 1 out of 10 copies.
Here are two links to show a picture of what I'm talking about. This is a lot easier than trying to determine if a game is heavier or better balanced.

I'm curious... are you from Europe, or did you just play the translation patch where the author plastered the European name for the game onto the title screen?Flak Beard wrote:Contra (Gryzor)

Coulda sworn Probotector was the Euro name. At least that's what I recall in Scandinavia...flamepanther wrote:I'm curious... are you from Europe, or did you just play the translation patch where the author plastered the European name for the game onto the title screen?Flak Beard wrote:Contra (Gryzor)

Re: Re:
"Probotector" on Nintendo platforms, with robots as the heroes (censorship so that no humans die). "Gryzor" on all other platforms, without the robots. "Contra" if you live anywhere outside of Europe or Oceania, on any platform. Awesome game no matter where you liveD.D.D. wrote:Coulda sworn Probotector was the Euro name. How expensive is Gimmick! in Japan? It might be too hard and be a bit too normal for me but it's a really well made game.
Looking for a cool game? Find it in my blog!
