That tempo is way too fast, and that beat is so over used. Sounds nothing like what I've come to expect to Dre.

Perhaps he needs to put that Dr.Pepper back on his turntables and take off his droid face-mask.

LOL rap music? Boy.. If you listened to what I listened to, you would fall over and die...
Please tell me what you listen to? If it is any form of Black/Death metal or similar genre I'm sure i already listen to them. I pride myself in my diverse music taste. As somebody who pretty much listened exclusively to Death metal for 4 or 5 years I know quite a bit about the genre. Out of anything i listen to more hardcore punk than anything. It is ignorant to dismiss an entire genre like that. Just because somebody likes rap doesn't mean that they pander exclusively to the teenie bopper manufactured garbage that is on the radio.
I don't understand how anybody could listen to 2pac's"Me Against the World" Public Enemy's"It Takes a Nation of Million to Hold us Back" or a Tribe Called Quest's"Low End Theory" and not like them. The only genre of music that i have never been able to get into is opera. I can't stand it. Thank you Luke for a constructive comment.

i don't like it. i just wanna hear some gangsta shit if it's gonna be dre. then again, i thought chronic 2001 was a piece of shit, too.

this, however, is coming from someone who drastically prefers east coast rap to west coast or southern.

Whoa. Don't drag me into this.

Honestly, Dre has been producing "commercial" music for the masses for the last few years. I can't blame him, he's earned the status where he could produce a justin beiber album (if he hasn't already) and no one would bat an eye. And who would? Easy is dead. Ice Cube, who I'm a huge fan of, does kids movies. And who knows what happened to Yella? He's just raking it in, can't blame him.

Hopefully one day he'll get back to his roots though.

I notice this guy posts about recent rap all the time from Soulja Boy(just garbage) to now Dr. Dre... I think rap has been dead since the late 90s.. The last decent rap album I can recall is Mos Def-Black on Both sides... I'm more of an east coast hip hop fan than anything but, I think all forms of rap in the last 10 years has been garbage.. Dre was once a good producer and the Chronic was classic, but after Eminem, he really hasn't produced anything worthwhile..

Y'see, the kids, they listen to the rap music, which gives them the brain damage. With their hippin' and their hoppin', and their bippin', and their boppin'... so they don't know what the jazz is all about! You see, Jazz is like a Jello Pudding pop — no! Actually, it's more like Kodak film — no! Actually, jazz is like the new Coke; it'll be around forever! Heh heh heh...

Dude i really really love Ice Cube. I wish he could make music as good as Death Certificate. He just seems content to participate in horrible movies. Remeber XxX State of the Union? Well i wish I didn't. I frequently reference Soulja Boy. How could one not love the best rappppaaa everrrrr. No really thought, he sucks. I just find his popularity so mind blowing. How can anyone even enjoy his music?

I never really understood the dislike for rap music. There's so much to listen to that its just amazing. If you like the horrorcore rap stuff there's Gravediggaz to Necro. If you want to listen to something more political there's rappers like Immortal Technique and Mos Def. There's the lyrical classic rappers like Raekwon and Nas. As far as this song goes, I don't really like it. But I'm not much of a fan of west coast style of hip hop besides a couple songs here and there.

An east coast rap fan - but no love for Jay-Z?

Here are the rap albums I have bought in the past decade:

everything by Jay-Z
everything by Kanye West
Ghostface Killah's "Fishscale"
Ludacris' "Chicken and Beer"
Eminem's "The Emninem Show" and "Encore"

So yeah, with a few exceptions I much prefer rap from the 90s then stuff from the last decade - and just about everything here was by someone who started in or was strongly influenced by the 90s.

(braces for inevitable onslaught about my taste in rap)
