You think they have Goldeneye setup to combat cheaters? Probably not. That same dude has been in first place with negative XP since I started playing online. Nothing worse than cheaters! I see people using grenade launchers often, which is locked for me. I wonder if a promo code unlocks it. That's pretty lame.

I finally reached level 23. Whoa! Pointless laser pointer! You get to level 10 very fast, then it slows down because it takes more and more XP to reach the next level. I think I needed 13,000XP until I get to level 24.

edit: Wow, I just googled to find out about the grenade launcher. Some guy posted the answer. Then I look at this sig and he has a Goldeneye friend code with his user name. Then I realized, I was JUST playing him!

Come on people, post your friend codes! I had fun playing a few matches with Ziggy( sorry it couldnt be longer, busy atm). Ziggy, what modes do you play the most often? I picked team conflict since it is the one most known. Also how often do you all play this?

That was a lot of fun. No worries about skipping out, I usually go in and out of playing all night long. I got DKC Returns last week so I've been playing it a little less, but once I'm done with it I'll be full time Goldeneye again. I pretty much play every day in the evening. On and off between 3 and 11PM EST.

I play all the modes, Team Conflict is one of my favorites. I like Black Box and Goldeneye a lot, they might be my two favorite modes. Conflict and Classic Conflict I tend to play only if I can't get into a game in another mode. Heroes is alright, but probably my least favorite mode. Though I haven't been able to play License to Kill yet. But really, I'll play any mode, I just enjoy playing it.

I usually get my ass handed to me in Hero, but I was just kicking ass and taking names in it. But of course, the game froze. Restarted and went to search for a new Hero game, and it froze again!

And as I type this, I went to search for a Hero game yet again, froze again! What's the deal with that? Any one have this happen to them?

I thought I was the only one having it freeze on me occasionally (like 1~2 times a week). Then again it could be Wii related as it happens to freeze after a few hours of play. It's weird too - it's the only game that does it to me. Then again I think I had Mario Galaxy freeze on me at the title screen but it was just the one time over a year ago... Meh.

C'mon, people! Post your friend codes! I know Swiftzx and me aren't the only ones playing this on Racketboy.

I know I know. I need to do that when I get off work today. I usually end up playing with my kid a bit, time with wifey, dindin, and then jump onto GoldenEye hence my forgetfulness.

Coincidentally I did too last night. I think I only need another 9,000 points to level 25 as I kept playing a bit of heroes-mode after getting L24.
And yeah, heroes is pretty fun too. The other team games aren't so fun or at least it seems like they're not as intense or I dunno. There just is something about them that isn't as fun as Team Conflict or Heroes. Anyhoo~

Oh by the way, for those who are playing, have any of you seen a player named "S.T.A.R.S."? That dude is a freaking menace/bad-ass player. He's on L33 (or higher) but when I first played him we were both on L8 (or so).
Who out there is someone you hate to see on the battlefield?

After playing Metroid Prime 3 with the wiimote/nunchuk, I played GE this way and I'm just fine. You just gotta tweak your settings to suit you.

I'm curious what you guys prefer for a primary controller. I've tried in vain to effectively use the Mote+Chuck combo, but end up getting destroyed more often than not unless I use the Classic Controller Pro. I know the mote+chuck configuration has definite advantages, and after trying close to a dozen different tweaked settings my patience is running thin. games in I default back to the Classic Controller Pro again.

Also, does anyone else feel like the switch from hip shots to ADS feels so freaking wonky?

My current Mote/Chuck settings (taken from a guy on a Ninty forum):

Go to the Wii's controller settings on the GoldenEye menu, and click Customize.

Go into cursor settings and do the following;

Set the deadzone to 15 above, 40 across.

Set the maximum turn to 100 (which is default)

Set the horizontal speed to 21

Set the verticle speed to 8

Set the cursor sensitivity to 20

Now go into the ADS options, and do the following;

Set the deadzone to 17 above, 17 across.

Set the maximum turn to 90 above, 90 across.

Set the horizontal speed to 15

Set the verticle speed to 10

Set the cursor sensitivity to MAXIMUM.

Now exit those options, and set the camera to; Wii Remote Turning, and turn 'Look' OFF.

Have the Auto re-centre and Turn while cursor off-screen settings ON.

WOW!!!!!! These setting worked great!
The only thing I didn't set (because it seemed like I'd have to re-learn how to play) was the camera settings. World-of-difference~

It's easy to add the code. Just go on the WiFi and go to Party Invite. I'll add you two guys right now.

Yeah, this is practically the only time I've had a Wii game freeze on me. Only other time was Far Cry Vengence, and it was totally the game's fault. I searched a little online, and it seems Heroes might be a little buggy. I've seen a few people say it freezes on them right at the winning screen. Sucks, because you loose all the XP you were racking up. When I was in the middle of the match last night, I was doing good, then it froze. I finally got back into another Heroes game with a different group, and was getting wrecked!

And yeah, heroes is pretty fun too. The other team games aren't so fun or at least it seems like they're not as intense or I dunno. There just is something about them that isn't as fun as Team Conflict or Heroes.

Actually, I like all the team modes a lot. Black Box is definitely one of my favorite, and I do enjoy Goldeneye as well.
