They had better not region-lock this one if it remains JPN exclusive!

Wait... VO an Xbox 360 exclusive. LOLWTFESKIMO? Considering how poor the 360 is doing in Japan did they even think that through? Or do they think that it's going to be a system seller? I doubt both.

Usually I like exclusive games - they give a platform flavor - but this is a terrible idea. The Japanese have had over 5 years to make up their mind on the Xbox. I love Virtual On but c'mon, it isn't going to get the job done.
And assuming this comes to the states...? Not sure if being exclusive would help or hurt it there.

Maybe now Nintendo will acknowledge Metroid has a fanbase?

It's Sega. Did their business plan outside the arcades EVER seem thought out to you?Niode wrote:Wait... VO an Xbox 360 exclusive. LOLWTFESKIMO? Considering how poor the 360 is doing in Japan did they even think that through? Or do they think that it's going to be a system seller? I doubt both.

If it does, I'm more interested in a way to convert it back for use on Saturn.MrPopo wrote:I hope it leads to an affordable twin stick for the 360.
Chances of Virtual-On for the PS3?
So, not sure if you've heard yet, but Virtual-On Force, the third game in the series, is getting a 360 release. Release date is Dec 22, 2010 in Japan, with no word of oversea release.
The awesome thing, its gonna be a freakin disc release, with badass artwork on the case and disc.
Now, this is only a speculation thread, so as the title says, what do you think the chances of VO getting on the PS3 are? With VOOT being an XBLA exclusive, with no word of a PSN release, that makes me a bit iffy.
I love Virtual-On, just after rediscovering the series several days ago. I really wish this game will go multiplatform.

Re: Chances of Virtual-On for the PS3?
I think about the same chance that CAVE games are released on PS3 which is probably NEVER... Probably have to get a JP 360 if you want to play it.. Not sure if it will be released in the US or PAL either..
