Re: Saturn vs. N64 FIGHT!
I picked the N64 because I spent so much more time on that than the Saturn. (due to the fact neither I nor any of my friends had one) But in saying that I spent the vast majority of that generation on my ps1. The one thing I will say for the Saturn is that the second gen digital controller is absolutely sublime.

The only way to deactivate the ray beam and fight back the vampire alien threat is with a complicated series of foot patterns on the device's control board that looks remarkably like a DDR pad. We will all praise this man for saving our lives and buy him a mountain of stuffed animals.

Saturn.
One reason. I have owned two N64s (one brand new) and they both died on me. I have owned at least 5 Saturns since its release, and all of them worked perfectly during ownership.

You had two n64s die on you? How is this even possible? I have seen N64s beaten up and treated real poorly still working.
Where's my chippy? There's my chippy.

No good games. They had nothing to live for.
Maybe now Nintendo will acknowledge Metroid has a fanbase?

Agreed. Sounds like we're not getting the entire story here.pepharytheworm wrote:You had two n64s die on you? How is this even possible? I have seen N64s beaten up and treated real poorly still working.

I REALLY hated the N64 controller and that it was the start of Nintendo making oddly shaped controllers with buttons of varying shapes and sizes ALL OVER THE PLACE.

Woah now. What? N64 pad had six buttons across the front, in two different sizes, plus one shoulder button for each index finger, and a start button in the middle. Saturn pad had six buttons across the front, in two different sizes, plus one shoulder button for each index finger, and a start button in the middle. I beg your pardon?zombi_ryu wrote:I REALLY hated the N64 controller and that it was the start of Nintendo making oddly shaped controllers with buttons of varying shapes and sizes ALL OVER THE PLACE.

Saturn 3D controller > that crazy mess you played N64 games with.

Re: Saturn vs. N64 FIGHT!
n64 because you don't have to spend hundreds to play the good games on it

Double KO
Both were knocked out of the water by, well... you know who
I played on Saturns every now and then but the load times seemed very long to me, in comparison to , well... you know who.
The N64 had the power but lacked the storage capacity on those carts, and the games were very pricey (thanks to those carts).
