What was the last movie you've seen?

Talk about just about anything else that is non-gaming here, but keep it clean

Actually, there's plenty of LOL moments, but overall, pretty weak and is at best a rental.

Recently I have been watching a ton of movies, but just a few of them were

Sid and Nancy- Gary Oldman as SId Vicious- the bassist for the punk rock band The Sex Pistols- this movie is just watching someones life fall apart in the worst kinds of ways- it really made me dislike Sid Vicious ha

Hot Tub Time Machine- I thought this movie was hilarious- hot tub takes you back in time, try to rekindle old loves, play in the band one more time...etc. John Cusak at his finest- I don't know what else to say except it was hilarious, and having Crispin Glover in another movie about time travel was pretty funny

30 Days of Night: Dark Days

This wasnt nearly as good as the original, and the new actress for Stella was pretty bad.

The characters seem like idiots when their suppsoed to be seasoned vampire hunters.

There are continuity errors on how the vampires can be killed.

Its a mess, not a terrible movie, but painfully average.

Also one of the worst sex scenes ive seen in a while.

Ho, I haven't posted in this thread in a few days, and I've watched quite a few films, so it's time for the shorthand version:

Harlem Nights - Thought it was ok, but felt it should have been funnier considering the three generations of African American comedians involved.

Rising Sun - Typical Hollywood, take a good book by a great author and make a film that just doesn't live up. It's not a terrible thriller, but it's not exceptional either, despite the acting talents involved.

The Naked Gun - Hilarious. I'll miss you, Lt. Drebin.

Full Metal Yakuza - Bizarre, though about the norm for Takashi Miike. Still, I've seen others from his straight-to-DVD era that I enjoyed more.

Les Miserables in Concert - It's absolutely astounding how incredible the human voice can sound. Everyone gives a dynamite performance. Also, turns out the host of the original Iron Chef played Valjean in the Japanese production.

Brand Upon the Brain! - I ended up getting into this Guy Madden silent film thanks to the bizarre plot, but it took a little while. And at times the film feels like it's trying to be artsier than it really should be.

Six-String Samurai - Ok, so the plot's dumb, the fight choreography wasn't great, and the dialog was hammy. That's pretty much exactly what I wanted from this post-apocalyptic tale, and I enjoyed every minute of it.

Naked Gun 2 1/2: The Smell of Fear - Once again, hilarious. Makes me lament the loss of Leslie Nielsen even more.
