Xbox 360 HDD Upgrade Via HDDHackr Keeping Emulation...

I recently bought a 4GB slim 360 because i knew this was possible, Its matte black, and wanted to save $$. I'm %100 positive i will be able to do the hack as it looks super simple. However, The part where i get lost is restoring the original Xbox emulator partition. Has anyone ever done that part of the "hack"? It's not necessary nor do i actually need it lol.. i just want to try if it isn't that difficult. Googled around a bit and i can see tons of guides. I'm just being lazy and wondering if anyone has done it here heh

Honestly i might just buy a used 20gb official HDD as i don't dl very much. The very few DLCs i have tried i have deleted after i was done. I just want to be able to play any of the Halo games Co-Op and have a couple games installed on the HDD. Playing Fallout 3 right now and it really shows how slow the DVD drive is. Pauses even when your just switching weapons!

Before anyone says anything.. Yes you can put an old 360 HDD in a new slim. Google it

It won't be cheaper....but it's probably going to be a lot easier to purchase a 20 or 60gig drive and crack it open.

I purchased a 120 gig bare sata drive from someone on ebay who knows how to properly format them...I haven't figured it out.

I bet you could make some dough if you knew how to format/what to copy.

There are quite a few 20 gb drives for sale locally for about $20. A 250gb SATA (the right kind) is about $50 shipped to me. Much more space then id ever need but its cheaper then an 80 or 160 right now hehe

Ended up finding a 20gb for 10 bux... should do the trick for now. Might try HDDHackr later on.
