Re: Bay Area, CA Racketboy member's meet up - Dec 4, 2010
I hope everyone had a happy Thanksgiving! I apologize to everyone who sent me PMs during the week. I didn't get a chance to read them since I went out of town for the holidays. I just got back today and started some pre-planned re-arranging in the game room to consolidate space and create more room so it doesn't seem as crowded. That, and the way how the main setup was before only had two outlets for me to work with and not much space for people to sit side by side. Now the main setup has 3 outlet sets on the wall and we can get a more panoramic view of the main setup. I'll take some pics when I'm done. I still have a lot of work to do with the wiring and moving furniture around.
I received some PMs of what some of the participants want to bring for sale/trade. I believe the best way to organize this is for each of us to bring boxes/bins/containers/whathaveyou for the things we want to sell. I'll see if I can set up a table where we can display our wares to make things easier.

I have a 4-player adapter and a Game Boy. If we're going to include the Game Boy we should work on that now. We only have 4 days left to plan anything else.

what's a good 4-player Game Boy game? don't we all have to have the same cart to play it?.. if we can manage to do this i'm down playing/bringing my Game Boy in honor of my video game brother noise.arnold_the_bartender wrote:I have a 4-player adapter and a Game Boy. I hope we don't all need the same Game Paks. There aren't many 4 players games and I don't have any link cables, just the 4-player adapter so we'll need 3 link cables.

This is according to Wikipedia anyway.
Edit: btw, is anyone able to bring a high quality camcorder?

if it could have been planned earlier, Faceball 2000 or F1 Race would have been cool for you guys. But there's plenty of 2-Player GB games of course.

Sweet!
On another note, maybe we could go out for a round of pizza later on that night? I think that would be cool.
