GBC Recommendations

Post by RBT »

Just picked up a MIB Turquoise Game Boy Color including Mario Golf CIB, Space Invader CIB and Worms Armageddon cart only for £10 :D

I have just read the guides but I'm looking for your personal must haves for the GBC, I have never owned a GBC before so that's my complete collection.

first I suggest you start reading my blog. :)

some favorites:

Scooby-Doo Classic Creep Capers - do you like Maniac Mansion? If so get this now!
Project S-11 - vertical shmup.
Hexcite - probably my favorite GBC puzzle game. I believe an exclusive.
R-Type DX - it's R-Type I & II... in color!
Resident Evil Gaiden - so awesome.
Super Mario Bros Deluxe, Tetris DX, Zelda Link's Awakening DX - duh.

Dragon Warrior I&II
Shantae
Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Seasons/Ages
Super Mario Bros. Deluxe
Wario Land 3 [Although 2 for the GB is much better, in my opinion]
Metal Gear Solid
Lufia: The Legend Returns
Bionic Commando: Elite Forces
Dragon Warrior Monsters 2
Pokemon Trading Card Game [Trust me on this one; it's actually REALLY good.]
Wendy: Every Witch Way
Toki Tori
Survival Kids
Cannon Fodder
Mario Tennis

I love my GBC; it is tied with the NGPC for my favorite handheld console.

Hit the Gamestops. A few still have GB and GBC carts still at killer prices. Also any local retro stores.

really??? In the past like 4 years I've seen one GBC cart at a GameStop. It's a sealed Mega Man Xtreme that they want $15 for. :| But I never see GB/GBC there otherwise. Jeez. If anyone sees any at their locals GS's for good price, let me know what they have, eh?
