Problem burning radiant silvergun..driving me BONKERS!!

Post by Black »

the game plays fine on that emulator, but i still cant get it to work with my saturn. im sure the games are patched, and ive done the swap trick a million times with my guardian heroes and i get in on the first try every time, so i dont think im swapping wrong.

oh and my saturn can read the audio. so i can play the music in the saturn player it just doesnt play the game.

yet another note, not sure if this matters greatly but when i use that cue maker (which i didnt use before) the .cue file comes in at 1.25kb where the one i was burning with was 1.23kb. I cant tell the differnece between the two so ill post them here.

yet another update, when i use discjuggler it says that the image could generate errors or something along those lines. I've never used disk juggler before but maybe its picking up something wrong with the file that the other burners don't.

I NOTICE NOW THAT THE .wav IN THE NEW .cue IS ALL LOWERCASE WHERE IN THE OLD FILE ITS ALL UPPERCASE. could that make the disc not play right?

That is weird... my Radiant Silvergun only has one Audio Track... I must be missing part of my game!!!!!

Oh and my data track is roughly 167MBytes.

The file is called RADIANT_SILVERGUN.iso and lies in the same directory as all of the other files, right? Does the burned disc work in an emulator on your PC?

If so, then it's the swap trick that is failing. I remember reading somewhere that certain games had different success rates swapping certain games, and even that some games couldn't be swapped to(don't know how true the second part is). I'm not exactly sure why, I think it might have something to do with the TOC(Table of Contents) on certain discs being able to boot other disks of certain sizes.

I had a real copy of Nights and it couldn't swap-boot any games with it, I don't know why -- I've successfully swap-booted on the Playstation, so I'm sure it wasn't my method. I'm guessing it was because the disc was just incompatible in swapping with the games I tried. Also, I think if your CMOS battery is dead then you won't be able to do the swap trick. I just said screw it and bought a chip from Racketboy, it was well worth it.

Assuming you're a windows user, use this program. It was written by someone a while ago and it's VERY good..the region changing best tool I've come across for Saturn games. Coupled with Sega Cue Maker, it is the only program you'll ever need. It changes regions on your ISO's and it's a wonderful GUI. You need the Microsoft .net framework v1.1 installed.

I don't know, maybe it's just because the region is wrong! Couldn't hurt to try.

If you need, I can post a BIN/CUE image.
RS isn't very big anyway.

that would be awesome. see now i have another version of it and i cant get it to work either. but this one is strange as it has a .img, .cue, sub and ccd file. I have no idea what to do with those and im running out of blank disks
