Talk about just about anything else that is non-gaming here, but keep it clean

In all seriousness, if you did go the emulation route I would highly recommend going the Wii route. If you sold your games and system you could just buy the games you want on the virtual console that you actually intend on playing, as opposed to ones you are content in having sit around in your closet unplayed, or mod the system and run a homebrew emulator and get most if not all the games for the console. The classic controller and classic controller pro are both great, and you can also spring for the Club Nintendo Super Famicom classic controller off ebay to get a more authentic controller experience.

For me it isn't the quality of the emulators that is the problem, but rather the controller. I have played emulated NES and SNES games on my XBox and it feels uncomfortable and alien. The Wii satisfies my emulation needs much more. Also, Microsoft hardware is pretty unreliable. My 360 just died for the third time, and I am giving up on that console all together, while every Nintendo system I have ever owned still works perfectly.

I've got to agree with this post. It seems like every time you acquire a new console, you come here asking for advice and cowering about how your wife wants you to get rid of one of your consoles.

I drew the line and I AM KEEPING MY SHIT BOTTOM LINE. We can close this post. I aslso ask alot of questions about different system because it seems like i always want to sell my stuff and then i question you guys and your responses makes me feel better that there are a hell of alot old school gamers and I'm proud I'm part of this community.OH yeah ande by the way, In honor of you guys I went out and bought a game for my gamecube, dreamcast, and snes.

YOU drew the line, or you both discussed it and came to a mutual decision? How did she take it?

You don't seem to have too many systems, so I wouldn't get rid the SNES proper, but at 100 games, I'd say some fat could be cut from that collection. After all, all 100 of those games can't be classic to you. I'd say that's a fair compromise.
Current systems: Atari 2600[x2], NES(top loader), SNES, N64, Gamecube, Wii, Saturn, Dreamcast, Playstation, PS2, PS2 slim, xbox, xbox 360, Turbografx-16, Game Boy Pocket, Game boy SP[x2], Nintendo DS[x2], Nintendo DSi, Nintendo 3DS, Game Gear, Neo Geo Pocket Color, Wonderswan Color, Neo Geo MVS.

I don't know, I have a little over 100 SNES games right now and there's only 1 or 2 that I wouldn't care too much if they disappeared.

id agree with downloading all your xbox games to the xbox hard drive and keeping the SNES.

Also i know its none of my buissiness but isnt your wife telling you what you can and cant have a bit...well silly?
Once again i apologuize but i cant help but feel the comment you made comes across like she tramples all over you, let alone telling you what you can and cant have.

I mean what space are they taking up? Im assuming she wants that space to replace it with soemthing she likes? and wasnt she aware you collected games before she married you?

If my misses told me to throw away my SNES cause she didnt want it id tell her "How about No"

Although I would absolutely LOVE to see you put some of those games up here for sale, don't. Save them for your grandchildren, stick em in a box and toss them in a box.

Worst case scenario, by the time your grandkids check em out and don't end up liking them, they'll be worth a fortune by then! Probably help pay for books for college...
