i don't even know where to begin... money is so tight right now i can't afford next month's rent let alone any gaming stuff...
i guess first thing i would need is a room... i am claiming the basement whenever we get a house that has one.
next i would need a dedicated gaming tv rather than using the family tv.
after that i would need to round out my system collection. i still need a nintendo, 32x, dreamcast, xbox, xbox 360 and wii.
then i'd need a lot more games. right now i have only maybe 30 games spread across 4 systems.
in other words, i need to win the lottery to be able to have the game room i want.
What Ambitions Do You Have For Your Game Room?
I've got my eye on some of the modular cube furniture that Ikea does. With all the consoles I have hooked up I'd really like to be able to house them individually, with cupboard fronts on the shelving. That way the things that need to be on display can be, and the console that I'm currently playing is accessible and the rest of the clutter is out of sight.

1. A house
2. A room in the house (pref. a finished basement)
3. An AV setup that lets me display all my systems, and have them hooked up to the same TV.

one of my roommates bought a 46" widescreen hdtv last week and it now sits in our living room. oh man, i've been forced to modernize! my sega genesis looks pretty blurry on such a huge screen and for some reason the brightness will automatically readjust (changing from dark backgrounds to light backgrounds) and is a real pain. tried to turn the option off but it still happens. oops, back to the game room...
the xbox looks good on there (it's his, i never play it) and my dreamcast looks stunning with the vga cable! i guess i'll have to start playing dreamcast again soon to take advantage of this tv, before he moves out. might also have to move my recliner back into the living room too

This is exactly why my perfect game room would also have at least one traditional, standard definition TV. Ultimately, I'll be in the market for 2 identical TVs to put together for a PS2 Time Crisis Co-op setup. A few years ago I picked up 2 time crisis pedals from Red Octane. Solid arcade construction, just a bit spotty when you first plug them in..
