I just got in an old Wii with a botched Wiikey installation that I'm trying to fix. The guy had tried installing the Wiikey using some kind of conductive paint and it simply didn't work. How do I remove this stuff without damaging the drive or chip? I searched around and I'm 99% sure it's something like this: http://www.coolest-gadgets.com/wp-conte ... glueaa.jpg
I've tried with isopropyl alcohol and it doesn't work.

Re: How to remove "wire glue"?
i would concur. Wire Glue scrapes off pretty easily with an exacto knife.
Wire glue works pretty well as a conductive adhesive to hold two connections together, but it doesnt do well as a the main connection.

Why would anyone want to use this anyways. Smart move getting rid of it, a slow patient scrapping paired with your selection of four letter words.

Re: How to remove "wire glue"?
i experimented with it a while back. it's a lot easier to work with than traditional soldering, and much easier to erase your mistakes. Some people might like the flat black finish? lol
Unfortunately, the conductivity is pretty low so I eventually shelved it.
