Problem with Turbografx

Post by Gooseberrysoda »

Whenever I turn on my turbografx, I get a buzzing white screen. Regardless of game, channel or CH3/4 settings, it's always the same. Help?

As in a solid white screen?

When you're putting in games, they're pushing too far into the slot and one or more of the contacts isn't connecting so the startup handshake it failing, kind of like what NES games do. Make sure the game is clean obviously. Put the game in, then back it out just a little bit so the lock from the power switch just barely clears the card. I bet it will work then.

No, black lines come across occasionally. I suppose I could try another RF, this one is from a different TG16.

Sounds like the contacts aren't connecting right, or are dirty. If you try an different RF, pretty much any standard connection should work fine (NES, SNES, SMS, Genesis, etc.).

Try a composite cable.

Rats. It looks like I'll have to order a matching cord.

Unless he has a Turbo Booster, TB+, or a CD unit, he doesn't have that option.
