when i was a kid i used to get ZILLIONS magazine ("consumer reports for kids") from the library and they did a big expose on this sort of thing. i was quite the educated jr. consumer.

Damm I remember that ad, it fooled me but I-m not a us resident so never entered any crazy prize giveaways on magazines.
