New NetFlix Plan: Streaming Only (no DVDs)

Hmm, I haven't noticed that myself. There's a few movies that I've watch instantly, then again some weeks later. Maybe they lose the rights to stream them?

They wont lose the rights, think of it like the Disney Vault, it forces demand for films over time. While they do have a large collection of films on instant I would rather not watch Biodome and Tank Girl, Im keeping my 1 DVD a month plan.

Honestly, keeping a NetFlix plan some times frustrates me. I started off with the 3 DVD plan, after my free trail, and kept it that way for a while before I downgraded to 2 DVD plan. Some times I have the same DVDs sitting around for weeks, if I'm too busy to watch movies all the time. Other times, I can't get them in fast enough if I'm watching through an entire TV series.

So it's great that I can get the DVDs by mail and stream whenever I want, but I have to pay for it all the same for the times I'm not using it. Know what I mean? I'm pretty shot right now, I feel like I can't make any sense!

Mentioned before, as an supplemental video source. Your county library, no not the ancient movies but brand new releases all the time. My country library has an online catalog, browse and reserve your movies. Over 30 branches to pull from, DVDs and Games get delivered to my local branch and an EMail tells me some movies in my Que are ready for pickup. FREE!

Well, there is a wait list que when movies are free.

The trick is to search by current year and reserve the new movies while they are still back ordered. Sometimes get locked in a month before the release date.
