Me and two other cargroups of friends tried to stop by this afternoon. WTF man you're closed already and you just opened!? They could have made about 8 customers today.

Lame lame lame. OPEN YOUR DOORS! WE WANT TO GIVE YOU FREE MONEY!!
Damn. Well, I think that's their usual business hours (closed on Mon-Tues). It could be because of the limited staff (see my link about them hiring). I will definitely be going by there tomorrow after 5 if anyone else want to join.

* Thursday 3:00pm – 10:00pm
* Friday 3:00pm – Midnight
* Saturday 10:00am – Midnight
* Sunday 12:00pm – 8:00pm

Maybe just until they have more employees? That's a 5 day schedule if there's not enough employees to cover.

We'll offer to run the place, pro bono for a day.
Maybe now Nintendo will acknowledge Metroid has a fanbase?

I know working a 'cade can be busy. But c'mon man, you're just now opening. You had a test run to make sure everything was shipshape (and apparently it is because you opened) so I doubt anything is broken. You don't need a tech to fix all the games because they're working. All you have to do is make sure someone is there to open the doors, answer a question, cash in tickets (if they even do that, not sure about it) and make change.

It's not really too difficult.

Eh, since there's food and drink allowed, you need to be able to walk around and make sure people aren't abusing that privilege. Most of the members of this board would probably be very careful around the machines, but the unwashed masses will not. Even with the drink holders on the pinball machines, some idiot will put a wet dripping drink on the top of the glass. Some other idiot will be punching a cab when they die if they aren't being watched.

I think the hours are fine. Who the hell is going to go to the arcade before 3pm on a weekday? 3pm makes sense - it is when most schools let out. They aren't located in a mall so daytime foot traffic is zip. Kind of counter productive to turn on all of the cabs and pins and pay someone to attend the place for a few lunchtime customers. They stay open until 10 to catch that weeknight business. They are open all day Saturdays and almost all day Sundays.

As for being closed on Mondays and Tuesdays? That could easily be because they are short staffed. But again... Business is probably going to be slow on those days. Why turn on all the machines and pay someone? If word spreads and they have people beating down the door, they'll extend hours and days opened.

Absolutely agree with you, wip3outguy7, the hours make a lot of sense from their perspective.
