This is exactly the kind of logic I am railing against. So while we can agree to disagree, I do feel strongly that I have the moral high ground here.

Because when "acting like assholes" = injuring/killing others, and you've seen this happen almost every year, you need to shoulder some of the blame. I can certainly tell you that any retail employee would be perfectly fine with getting rid of the whole "black friday" tradition.

Christmas could use a little less commercialization anyhow.

Actually, I haven't seen people killing each other over a sale every year; and your statement considering that is ridiculous and asinine. You are taking our discussion into a stupid argument, where you literally equate a sale to poisoning people (take a second and think about it, you actually did that). By that logic every person who dies in an traffic accident should blame only the company that manufactures cars.
