I found Ico CIB for freakin 8 dollars at a thrift store! I freaked out right then and there in the store, because I had been wanting this game for quite awhile but always settled on the idea that "well, it's a little too high price-wise for me right now". Man, I was literally jumping up and down in my BK uniform when I saw it there. The lady working there looked at me like I was crazy. I didn't have the money on me either, but my oh so awesome boss bought it for me when I promised to pay her back for it. Suh-WEET!

Earlier I mentioned buying a Gadget Art Book for a dollar.

Ordered the newest version of the game thru Amazon from CD Access under 20 bucks shipped.

The game came in! It is the newer four disc version supporting both the PC and Mac. Amazing that this 1998 game is still shrunk wrapped with a warranty card still inside! Popped the disc in my iMac and after OS9 background booted it runs beautiful. A Myst type of game, the Artbook really got my curiosity to explore this game.

I looked at the book so many times when I visited the Bookoff store, finally bought it for the dollar. Amazing nobody else had bought it all this time. A lot of pretty pictures, a study of beautiful early CD ROM art by Haruhiko Shono. Brand new it was thirty bucks back in 1995. The intriguing pics teased me about this PC-Mac game.

Not the best price for an older game, but with the dollar purchase of the Art Book a nice package!

So has anyone played this older Myst style game?

Stopped by the thrift store this morning and found a complete copy of Tekken 2 (one of my favs) and a nifty little Game Boy cleaning kit; $8.

nice. I have one of those cleaning kits. CIB. They actually work quite well on carts!

i was able to pick up a cib copy of earthworm jim special edition for sega cd. i paid 30 bucks for it, which is a little under the going price for it.

i got it at the exchange. there are numerous exchanges around me, but this one is about a 30-40 minute drive. because of this, i don't go too often; maybe once every two months, if that. but i keep finding awesome games there; i have found cib copies of pitfall for the 32x and lords of thunder for the sega cd. i don't know if i am going at the right time and getting lucky, or if this store always has good games there. the store is kind of in a richy neighborhood, so that probably helps out a lot.
