iMac G3 CRT
OS9 and OSX Tiger dual boot
PC
Four removable boot drives
WIN XP PRO Service Pack 3 (1 for the wife and 1 for me)
WIN 98 SE
DOS 6.22
Internal D drive shared with the two removable WIN XP drives
I am still amazed that my old iMac loads the browser and other programs faster the the Son's bloated WIN 7 Sony VAIO Laptop.

Re: What operating system are you running?
On my main PC I use 7 Pro, my laptop came with 7 Home Premium. Then I have an older desktop with XP Pro on it, though I was thinking about letting my laptop replace it. My main PC is dual booted with Ubuntu, but I don't use it all that much.
It took me a while to get it the way I wanted, but after that, Windows 7 is awesome. Though it isn't very easy to figure everything out, 7 is highly customizable. I forced myself to switch to the Vista/7 start menu (now called the Superbar) and I'm glad I did. I hated the XP start menu (always switched it to classic) but after you get use to the new start menu in 7 you realize it's set up more for speed. That search box is awesome, I launch programs (that I don't have shortcuts for) much faster.
But I definitely understand the frustration when you first look at a new operating system... "Ahh, what the hell? This isn't what I've been use to for the past 10 years! NEVER!" I forced myself to get use to Vista, then the jump to 7 wasn't really much after you get everything set up the way you want it. I'll tell ya this though, if you get 7 setup the way you like, it's frustrating trying to use older versions of Windows. The search box, window snapping, etc. I found it's setup for speed, which is what I love.

Debian Sid on my main machine. Win 7 for the occasional game, when I can be arsed to reboot. Just put MEPIS and XP on a spare machine for dicking around on.
Oh, and I have System 6 on my Mac SE/30s. GS/OS on my IIgs, but I usually just use Prodos. I spent the weekend getting DOS 2.11 up on my Tandy 1000EX, need to get DOS 3.2 on it though. Still looking for the time to play with GEOS on my C128.

Ubuntu 10.04 and Crunchbang Linux. Ditched Windows the Summer before last and never looked back. I cringe every time I have to use it at work.

I mainly use Mac OSX 10.6 Snow Leopard on my MacBook Pro, but i also have Win XP SP3 on an old Dell laptop. I am trying to get an old Dell Dimension 8400 to work again, but i think need a new hard drive for it.

One has Vista 64, the other has Windows 2000.
I've been debating installing Windows 7. I used it for a bit on another laptop, but I used it for a bit and didn't think it was all that much better than an updated Vista.

Yeah, 7 is more like Vista SE.
