I know that. You know that. But he won't get with the program. This transition is a slow project, but soon enough, he'll be running around, screaming his love of Mudkipz.

If he's got a Wii, Secret of Mana is only $8 on the virtual console. That'd be a great virtual stocking stuff in addition to a more expensive hard copy game.

How 'bout FF Mystic Quest. I remember it being pretty straightforward and didn't take too long or too much effort to beat. I don't think I did any grinding at all.

First game that popped into my head.

Also, have you thought about Super Mario RPG? I don't like RPGs much and I LOVE Super Mario RPG!
