I must be really lucky or something. All the girls that I'm good friends with, including my gf, play games.

Hey, Blastoise is good for UU! It's also a cool OU antilead.

On other matters. Too much alcohol in this thread

I meant OU by competitive. And I just picked Blastoise as it's well known but you don't really want to use it in OU.

But I'll give you UU. ;)

Finding a sexy gamer girl that you can sustain a romantic relationship with is rarer than finding a mint condition copy of the Nintendo World Championships gold cartridge at a flee market for $20. If you understand that analogy, you are probably too dorky for that magical dream girl anyway.

I think there's a problem with the thing about the label "gamer" now being used as a badge of coolness/elitism and that a lot of self-confessed "girl gamers" probably consider themselves too cool for gamer guys (unless said gamer guy is extremely attractive). It's a bit of a catch-22.

Also, call me old-fashioned but I find looking for women for the purpose of romance a bit awkward. Romance should be something that would blossom naturally out of friendship. Like, be friends with as many people as you want and you'll eventually develop deeper feelings for someone.

Approaching a girl with the single-minded purpose of becoming her romantic partner at the outset seems kind of difficult to me, possible, but not easy. It's like you're a piece of a puzzle trying to find someone who fits with you. You'll eventually find someone who does if you're lucky, or if you try long enough and weather all of the rejections/failed connections. Or you could just hang out with other people who don't fit, and kind of wear each other out to the point that you'll fit with each other.

Sorry, analogies are way beyond my abilities.
