Tetris DS is single cart multiplayer, although it's kind of hard to come by and is getting expensive.
You can't go wrong with Bomberman though. Eight player battle mode is complete chaos.

Another really good one is Kirby Super Star Ultra, it has a two-player version of Spring Breeze when you only have one cart, and player two plays the part of the helper. It's really great, I've had a blast with it. also has a few minigames.
Kirby Squeak Squad and Mario & Sonic At The Olympic Games both have minigames, they're okay.
