I went to Piece last time I was in Chicago, and for thin crust Chicago pizza, it was off the charts good. Haven't had Lou Malnati's yet, but I'll try it my next trip back home.

Can't wait to have a decent gyro again too.

Haven't been to Lou Malnati's yet, but I LURRRRRVE deep dish pizza. We finally got a Giordano's in my hometown (near DeKalb), but I prefer Pizzeria Uno/Due and Gino's East, especially their pizza with the layer of sausage in the middle. I'm lucky enough to have a Pizzeria Uno here in my college town in southwestern Wisconsin, but it's like a mile and a half away and I'm lazy. Plus I don't have time. :(

Note to non-Mid-Westerners: Pizzeria Uno's is NOT Uno's pizza. Uno's pizza can be found in airports, and it stinks.

Gino's East (the original) is great. Beware the Gino's imitators that can be found near O-Hare and next to chain restaurants such as Chili's and Hooters.

Okay, let's travel the road less traveled. What is your favorite comfort food?

I'll still go with Osso Bucco, but I can still down a box of Kraft Dinner (mac and Cheese for those not in the know). I also love, absolutely love cottage cheese with smoked paprika sprinkled (doused) all over it.

Haha, North Carolina gyros. . . took me forever to find a decent gyro in Georgia. I still can't find a place with kronos gyro meat off the spit. It's either presliced kronos meat or some other brand on the spit. Or for the ultimate crappiness: non kronos meat AND not off the spit aka that flat rubbery crap.

The best one I've found is actually the kronos/not off the spit variety.

Seems to be more activity here, before dinnertime.

I'm from the West Coast but give me a New York thin crust any day. :D

My favorite is Cherries, and anything cherry flavored. The one exception to this is Cherry Garcia ice cream.

My 2nd favorite is Garlic. I'm pretty sure I could kill a vampire with a strong breath.

Dude. I found a place where I live that makes their gyros with kronos brand meat, cut off the mfing spit. Too bad you have to spell pout to them how to make a gyro. They usually put three cups of lettuce on the things.
