Black Friday 1994

Post by Jbroderway »

If you could go back to any year's black Friday sale which would it be and why?

Mine would be 1996 to snag some sweet snes games.
I just want to separate the cereal from the mouse mask.

A) What's Black Friday?

B) Why do you talk about 1996 and have 1994 in the subject?

Zero, here in the states, Black Friday is the Friday after Thanksgiving that retailers start advertising sales for the X-Mas holiday season. It's usually marked by discounts and prices slashed in an effort to attract customers and to turn a profit for the year, bringing them out of the "red" (deficit) and into the "black" (profit) hence the name Black Friday.

I avoid Black Friday like a plague. Piles of assholes fighting each other to save a couple of bucks on shit they don't need? I'll sleep in.
Maybe now Nintendo will acknowledge Metroid has a fanbase?

Retailers usually have limited numbers of some desirable items with The price slashed to where it is an incredible deal. This is to lure people into the stores (where there are inevitable fights over the cheap items) to buy up these items and hopefully a lot more in order to start the spending madness for Christmas shopping.

This is something you won't receive an easy answer to, haha.

I think "Black" could also refer to the fact that many people have been killed on this day.

Black = Death

Black friday isn't even a particularly big day for actual sales (people buying things, not discounts)

I just stay at home on that day. It's just a scam to get people to buy crap they don't need.
