Noise, do yourself a favor and pick up the new Nook Color!

I have been installing the demo units all this week at my Best Buy stores in the Bay area and the thing has a screen like an Ipad. Go to your local Best Buy and see for yourself! Stores should be receiving them any day.

Brad, One of the major selling points of a Kindle is the eink screen. It looks just like paper and reading for long bouts is very easy on the eyes. Maybe its just me, but reading off a computer style screen for long lengths of time like the ipad hurts my eyes. Is the Nook 2 a eink screen? Another major selling point, battery life, which is well over a week with the Kindle. Hopefully a color screen doesn't kill the battery sooner. I haven't seen the screen for the Nook 2 in person though. I hope its nothing more than a color eink screen. Reading comics from this could be pretty cool. I may have to take a trip to Best Buy this weekend and check it out. I didn't know it was being released so soon.

If you're willing to brave the insanity, Best Buy is selling the wifi-model Nook on Black Friday for $99. I personally prefer the Nook over the Kindle, and have asked for one for Christmas myself.

I am going for the kindle for christmas, looks pretty sweet. I also think it might help me get a bunch of out print books for my historical research.

I just personally know a lot of people that have had much better experiences with the Nook because of its interface.
