i haven't read the entire thing (the words are small and i've been at this computer for too long)... but this guy took a PSOne LCD screen a third party GBA to TV adapter and his GBA and made one pimped out GBA

That's pretty sweet. I wonder how heavy it is though, seems like it might get tiring after a gaming for a bit.

it does look a bit awkward... why not just use a a little stand for the monitor and basically just use the gba as a controller? ya know?!!?!?!?!! damn kids and their portable tv game playing combo things! arg

Interesting, though not really functional as a portable. Too bulky and maybe short battery life? Might as well go the Gamecube GBA Player route.

There have been far better ones that this. The system here would be awkward to hold and use and very top heavy; sloppy. It needs to all be integrated into a handheld to make the system easy to use, and batteries included (he used mains power, as standard, as per pic).

There were two GBA TV out converters, Chinese products of course, GBA Converter and GBA Transverter. These interface to the GBA and provide composite output, although the Transverter, which you can't buy these days/hard to get, could be RGB modded.

I think it's kinda silly. I've seen that thing a hundred times. They also added a port for a Neo Geo joystick as well.

Why do most videogame mods use the PSone screen? Aren't they very rare? Why not a portable dvd screen?
