Favorite western movie?
Re: Favorite western movie?
For me personally, it's probably Unforgiven. But, my dad would be upset if I didn't at least put in a quick plug for The Outlaw Josey Wales. He loved that movie and would recite every line before it was said.

Great movie! A very young Lee Van Cleef has a cameo. As in many of the classic lost era of Black and White movies, something about the old Westerns with a down to earth story.Bikeage wrote:High Noon
Anyone seen Winchester 73?
Great story, with fine acting. From the opening gun contest with the sheriff, the card shark at the poker table and James Stewart's side kick. The character actors of the day, really well done.

Oh man I forgot about the Wild Bunch.. I think I made a post on the movie thread about how amazing the movie is.. That and Clint Eastwood/Sergio Leone Man with no name trilogy is some of the finest collection of movies of all time... Also, Unforgiven is great as well, Gene Hackman was top notch.. I never realized that I liked some many movies of this genre..

Butch Cassidy & The Sundance Kid
Death Rides a Horse
Django
For a Few Dollars More
Keoma
Once Upon a Time in the West
The Big Gundown
The Good, The Bad & The Ugly
The Great Silence
The Outlaw Josey Wales
The Proposition
Unforgiven

The Proposition

I'm surprised nobody mentioned blazing saddles.
I just want to separate the cereal from the mouse mask.

I have seen that movie preview. Definitely not your typical Western, looks interesting if not overboard on effects.YoshiEgg25 wrote:I thought that was Red Steel 2.Jrecee wrote:What's the deal with this ridiculous new movie about ninjas in the wild west?
