How to clean off oily NDS dpad?

Post by xan_racketBOY_fan »

I'm a neat freak when it comes to my controllers and there's this darn oily residue around my NDSi's dpad and I can't seem to clean it off. Anyone else have this problem? I've tried using alcohol pads to clean it off, but it doesn't do much.

I'd be willing to bet its actually wear marks. No amount of cleaning will fix that.

You could go get some meguiars cut and polish cream and redo the entire surface to match... But yeah, pretty sure its just wear marks :(

I'd be more worried about that that nearly destroyed touch screen. Hope it's got a protective film on it...

That's odd. My DS's thumbpad looks shiny like that from day one. I bought it brand new from the store.

As for the scratches, I think that's just the screen protector. My DS's touchscreen looks the same - the screen looks like a mess due to the protector being prone to the stylus, but underneath it's pristine.

(I'm actually surprised that the protector was scratched, at the first day of having the protector, at that. Kinda negates its purpose a bit - I mean, sure, it protects the real screen from scratches, but you're not seeing it under all the scratch marks anyway) .

Don't worry, I've got Hori screen protectors on both screens.
