while I understand the demand, I don't own a video camera, nor am I much of a video guy.

I don't know if video would do much to articulate how nifty the thing is either. Taping monochromatic screens through a massive magnifying lens with front lighting? Pics and a testimonial will be more than enough.noiseredux wrote:while I understand the demand, I don't own a video camera, nor am I much of a video guy.
Maybe now Nintendo will acknowledge Metroid has a fanbase?

Videos a nice side supplement, but sometimes hard to digest. A pain to slog thru for a viewer to research on. Pics and text that can be scrutinized at a reader's discretion a lot easier anyways.noiseredux wrote:while I understand the demand, I don't own a video camera, nor am I much of a video guy.
That is a great controller, a shame its not for the GBA SP. Looking forward to the review, interesting to read which GB games you will try.
I suspected the pea green Gameboy screen was a cost move, perhaps because of the technology at the time. Interested what you have on this.noiseredux wrote:it was a cost thing. I have something about it -- I'll dig it up when I can.CRTGAMER wrote:Very nice portable Arcade adaptor!
Something I always wondered about. Remember how the Nintendo Game Watches had a white background? So how come Nintendo went with pea green in the original Gameboys? Technology at the time, a first stab at implementing color or a cost move?

I KNOW I have info on this somewhere. The book I THOUGHT it was in, didn't seem to be the one I was thinking of. I'll find it for you as soon as I can -- I have a small pile of GB-related books...CRTGAMER wrote:I suspected the pea green Gameboy screen was a cost move, perhaps because of the technology at the time. Thanks, maybe an interesting post for your Blog, the history on the invention of the Gameboy.noiseredux wrote:I KNOW I have info on this somewhere.
