To be honest I will play about 20 hrs in the first 3 days then I slow down to a couple hrs a day. When I get close to 80 hrs or get 80% done I sometimes stop then pick the game back up in a month or two and finish.

All I know is that last night I booted up Oblivion for Xbox 360 and I have 99 hours in so far.

370 hours and 5 minutes into Pokemon Diamond.

Seriously.

And that's not counting my other Pokemon games.

how can you put so many hours in one game?!
100 hrs?! damnnn

I know its a huge bang for your buck if you paid $60
but....i feel like after 30-40 hours of gameplay, its just rinse and repeat
i doubt they have 100 hours of original or new gameplay

I will be honest I played final fantasy VI on the SNES, and i felt the story was dragged just to add extra hours into the gameplay.

and 370 hours?!
does this game end or what?

btw, any one feels guilt about putting so many hours into gaming?
for example, 370 hours would be 15 days of your life(non sleep) was put playing pokemon
do you think you want those 15 days back in your life when you are on your death bed ? :P

Most of my time goes to chipping away at RPGs and I've thrown up some huge numbers myself. For one game though, the greatest number of hours is actually Final Fantasy 12.

232 hours.

For real. I did everything in the game except get the zodiac spear. Oh yeah - guess I never did the 2,2,2,3,4,5 challenge either or whatever it is. That just crazy though.

Well, there are two things that can affect this:

1. Sometimes I get distracted while playing and leave it on for a little while, which greatly adds to the numbers.
2. There have been times where I constantly reset my game which don't count in the hours.

Overall, 360-370 is probably about right. I don't know how much I put into Platinum/HeartGold/Ruby/Crystal and both times I went through Yellow/Gold/Blue/Colosseum.

Welcome to the internet.

I actually feel the same way. Like I get more of my moneys worth if I enjoy a game enough for multiple playthroughs, than 1 100 hour playthrough, where I'll most likely never touch the game again, because I couldn't be happier to be done with it, or something.

On topic:
Chrono Trigger usually averages 15 hours for me, but I know what to do in the game too. I can't recall my first playthrough, but I don't think it hit 30 or anything.

Grandia 2 usually averages 35 hours for me. One of the very few games that has some areas I don't mind going back through and grinding a bit for.

While I'm on the Dreamcast, Timestalkers should take about 13 hours, and the Evolution games about 15, to finish the stories. Neither should, however be as much about completing the story as the other side stuff in the game(the NPC stories(Time Stalkers) and treasure hunting(both)).

While I'm still here, the original Skies of Arcadia is roughly 40 hours.

That's about all I can recall. Currently I'm on the Slayers translation, I'll let you know there, if I finish.

Last RPG I could put any time into was Disgaea 3 and I have almost got 120 hours. It took me 110 hours to find the Puppy Paw Stick and then I just quit playing. i like robbing the pirate ships and trying to make it through them, but the game is insane!

From start to beating the Elite Four in a Pokemon game doesn't take too much time. What really kicks it up is capturing all the pokemon, evolving your guys, breeding, and building your ideal team.

Especially if you're into getting EVs and IVs. I know how EVs work, but I'm still trying to figure out how you get them and such.

IVs though...I'm a champ. I bred a Larvitar with three perfect 31 IVs (one in Attack) and the rest from 28-30. Gave it to a guy to EV for me. Now I have a Tyranitar that can kick your butt to Hoenn.
