Can anyone help me with ez flash iv problem?
Got an ez flash iv, downloaded the software kernel and flash for it, put Mario kart super circuit on it. It worked great, so I decided to put some more games on it, did that and now it freezes on the health warning screen (using this on a ds). So I put the exact same set up with Mario kart super circuit on another mini sd card, just like I had it before, put it in the ez flash and still the same, freezes on warning screen. I've tried it on a GBA SP and nothing. I am stumped, I didn't do anything to the ez flash or anything physically to change or damage it, any ideas?

Are you using an SDHC card on a device meant for normal micro/mini SD cards? I know my EZ Flash IV doesn't take the high capacity cards.NintenBroke wrote:Got an ez flash iv, downloaded the software kernel and flash for it, put Mario kart super circuit on it. Also, on my AK2i + EZ Flash V combo that I use on my DS, (the EZ4 is in my GameBoy Player) things get crashy if I have too many games in one folder, but that sounds less like what you're describing.

I had the problem of crashing with too many games on the SD card with that card. I solved it by putting the games in a folder rather than at the SD card's root directory. Try it.
Mostly harmless

1st no I am using a mini sd card, not a high density card, 2nd I did make a folder and placed all the GBA roms in it, I only had 26 roms in it. I set up a different mini sd card with only the operating software and 1 rom, Mario Kart super circuit just like I had it originally when it worked and still it freezes with only that 1 rom in it. The ds works just fine without the ez flash in it. It just seems like the ez flash card is corrupted now or something, it just doesn't work at all now.

There are a few revisions of this, is yours the one that looks like a normal GBA cart?
I have an early version that had problems that sound like what you're having. i think it might be to do with it trying to write a corrupted save game. Try it in a GBA and hold L whilst turning it on. lso try loading the roms into the ezflash's internal memory. Are you using the transfer software to transfer the files?
