that conversation was brutal man. I was actually paying close attention to the time stamp on it even before you mentioned how long things took. So when she said 3-4 mins and then it was 8 I was feeling myself getting aggravated for you!

That's terrible, though. I just made my first buy on eBay under my name (I've done it under my dad's before), but even though I keep having good experiences, I'm just waiting for that one terrible thing to happen.

That does seem insane. Unfortunately, though, a lot of bad sellers made it seem like a necessary step. There was a pattern of using negative feedback to punish buyers for honest feedback they left on the seller. I know because I was a victim of this.

I purchased an item (a Transformers toy) described as "mint in box" and "used only for display purposes." When it arrived, it was indeed in the original box, but suffered from some very minor paint chipping. It was still in very good shape, so I didn't feel right leaving negative feedback. However, the item was clearly not as described, so I didn't feel like positive feedback was right either, so I left neutral. I explained my reasons and made sure to note that the toy was still in very good condition. The seller responded with negative feedback and publicly berated me for "expecting a mint USED toy" even though that's precisely what had been advertised.

So yes, it's unfair to good sellers, and maybe there's a better answer, but it's a response to a definite problem that had to be solved.

After all that, I hope you at least get whatever was not received yet. If the product doesn't arrive maybe post the seller in question here, at least a somewhat vented revenge. A follow up notice to Seller may entice to fix, due to a huge possible cliental loss here a Rackeboy.

Too bad, EBay won't correct that Feedback.

I would have asked to chat with the supervisor. The agent is the low man on the pole and is just following the rules without any powers to change them. I would also send a written letter to Ebay corporate expressing your dissatisfaction.
