What Games Would Be Best To Compare Ports Of?

Talk about just about anything else that is non-gaming here, but keep it clean

Enough to get the point across, I should have guessed as much. Righto.

What about Primal Rage?
Wikipedia tells me it was on the Genesis, Saturn, PlayStation, Amiga, SNES, Jaguar, 3DO, Game Boy, Game Gear, 32X, Arcade, and PC. Holy guacamole! Talk about milking it for all it's worth.

Dude, Street Fighter 2! SNES, Genesis, PC Engine, Saturn, PSX, PS2, GBA, and in some cases several versions (though it would probably be best to stick to SF2/CE/T and SSF2/T as separate comparisons).

Actually I have a thought of Tatsujin/Truxton in my mind. There were three versions, and the fans cannot decide on which is the best: Genesis, TG16, and Arcade. Personally I like the Genesis since it has the best sound track. Though the amount of work to make one is not really justifiable for 3 games. Ofcourse once I convert that taplight into a foot button well all bets are off.

Update:

Cherryswitch just barely has the space to fit, it is actually taped closed. But it works. Do note if you are building any sort of intereface in the future, do not rig it up as seen. This was a demo piece from a convention talk I did showing bad wiring. However it was the only thing I had handy that didnt require to much thought to make work. I hope to get it into a project box on Tuesday, Friday at the latest. Though the fact I had a taplight laying around is kinda scary.

Everyone has their favorite I guess. I'd like a WWF WrestleMania: The Arcade Game comp. myself. I have 3 versions myself.

I second that! Tomb Raider versions as well!! And different MK 1 & 2 versions would be good. Remember how you could reboot the game with the Shang Tsung's Goro fatality on early arcade verisions.

Also...
YS III - Genesis/SNES/Turbo Duo
Castlevania:SOTN/Dracula X - ps1/saturn/and now psp!

...and don't forget the shmups:
Raiden Trad - Genny/SNES
Lords of Thunder - turbo duo/sega cd
Thunder Force III/Thunder Spirits(same game) - genny/snes
Rez- dreamcast/ps2
Castle Shikigami 2 - dreamcast/ps2

agreed, I like the SCD version best.... coolest soundtrack ever!

actually over at Sega-16 I joined a comparison of all the 'Pitfall: the Mayan Adventure'... I took some audio and video samples of the 32X, SCD and SNES versions.

I've been thinking about this topic for a while and I think that I might be able to contribute something about the Metal Gear franchise. You see the MSX games bear a lot of similarities with Metal Gear Solid. Infact some sections of MGS feel like 3D iterations of areas from the original game.
