Second colossus and its the same feeling. I dont want to do it, but what else can I do? Also, the music emphasizes that feeling, maybe Im over reacting because I had too much hype about this game, but its like the whole journey is a sad ride.

Or maybe Im a pussy, I remember having to quit from Monster Hunter because I felt bad for the monsters

seriously one of the best games i've ever played. for those who think it's easy, go ahead and play hard mode... or the time trials and earn some really neat items.

oh yeah. that's when things get reallllly interesting. Hard mode is where finding the fruit and such come into heavy play!

I own both and have played them both, never beating either. I seem to loose interest. Theres not enough there to keep me going. Best of luck.

I liked Ico better, but both games were pretty awesome. Half the fun in SoC is trying to find out how to beat the bosses. I never tried hardcore mode.

It wasn't till I got to the third one that I started feeling something wasn't right.

The only way to deactivate the ray beam and fight back the vampire alien threat is with a complicated series of foot patterns on the device's control board that looks remarkably like a DDR pad. We will all praise this man for saving our lives and buy him a mountain of stuffed animals.

I never could bring myself to kill a colossus. And for that reason I feel that I won the game.

Shadow of the Colossus is a masterpiece in my opinion. However, I'm a less is more kind of guy and I preferred Ico for its sublety and greater focus on emotion. SOTC has the "OMG, look at the size of that!" epic encounters that is what this generation of gamers wants in a game. Ico had no big, epic boss fights and its quality showed itself more in the little details. The game stayed with me more than SOTC.

Both of them are among my favorite games of all time though. They are both, artistically speaking, in a league of their own I think...well, I'd maybe place Rez up there too. The last stage alone makes Rez amazing. Okami was pretty amazing too
