Re: My New Gamecube Blog
nice review. Is everyone aware that (most of) the NES games can be unlocked by "coding"? There's websites out there where you input your NAME and the name of your TOWN and which NES game (or anything else) you want to unlock and it generates a code for you to tell Tom Nook. Most of the NES series games relesaed for the e-Reader are in this game (not Urban Champion) along with a few other games (notably Punch-Out!!). And all of the NES games that are small enough can be downloaded onto your GBA as well.

I never thought that the trade system could be used like that; it makes sense when you think about it. I always assumed the best way to get rare items was with an Action Replay. [By the way, there are some awesome AR codes for Animal Crossing that can do some hilarious stuff.]
I like that Nintendo used the GBA to a good extent in Animal Crossing; it's the little things that make it stand out like that.

I have two articles for you today: A shorter one about Gamecube USB Controller adapters, and a review of Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door.

Re: My New Gamecube Blog
Nice article on my favorite GC game which is Paper Mario TTYD. It's actually the third game in the series following Super Mario RPG (SNES) and then Paper Mario 64 (originally was going to be called Super Mario RPG2 -
I'm currently playing the first one now and it's neat to see how Nintendo has evolved the series. Each one has made improvements over its predecessor.
I'm not a huge fan of RPGs because I find the turn based battles to be dull. Although Paper Mario is turned based, there is some skill involved doing timing.
I must say that I was very surprised to see that Nintendo allowed Flurrie (the buxom wind sprite) in the game. My daughters commented on her features. She was the most useless party member. I think my favorite party member was Bobbery.
I really enjoyed Glitzville and the wrestling arena. That was a lot of fun.
I thought Intelligent Systems did a really nice job with TTYD and Paper Mario 64.

Re: My New Gamecube Blog
Just read the animal crossing review and saw the video about the girl who gave her mother Animal Crossing.
And then I got something in my eye.
It was an eye lash, really.
*sniff*

Maybe now Nintendo will acknowledge Metroid has a fanbase?
