I tried the flash version at Newgrounds. It was kind of glitchy, like he would keep running to the right long after I stopped pressing right, or he wouldn't jump at the time I pressed jump. When it was working correctly, I could see how the game would be fun, but for such a punishing difficulty level, you really need your controls to work. I'll wait and see when it is released on Steam. I like this kind of platform jumper game, so it might be fun on a full version.

Jt.. the controls are as spot on as you can imagine. I never played the flash version tbh.

As with Alien Hominid on New Grounds vs Alien Hominid HD, there is no comparison between the free version and the new version. Definitely check it out when it hits Steam.

Wasn't really judging the whole game based on that. I liked the other levels. But like 25% of the demo is devoted to that warp zone area and its limited lives so I thought it might be a bigger part of the main game.

I'd say about 5% of the game is warp zones

Just got this game today and it has been good so far :D Completed all of World 1 (Light & Dark) with A ranks, bandages, warps; I also beat the glitch level for it. This unlocked World 2 and Teh Internets... I tried the Butcher Boy world in Teh Internets and it was pretty damn difficult; spent a few hours getting A ranks on all those levels (I HATE those missile launchers :x )

Just beat The Kid warp zone... I think this game is just a bit demonic  First stage took me about 45-1 hr to get down; 2nd stage literally took me about 10 minutes; 3rd stage took about 15 minutes. First stage was a BIIIIIIITCH

I will never understand this new trend of retroish looking games that use spikes as the main challenge.

Too many people traumatized by Mega Man as kids. Which even then I'm grateful they remembered the spikes more. I'd cry at a game made entirely of Quickbeams.

Peta has done a reasonably good parody called Super Tofu Boy:
