Why First-Person Shooters veterans are not Halo fans.

RTS, FPS, Sports, Adventure, etc.

This is true isn't?

Yup, this is the cold hard truth.

MTV generation
Wait, how old are you? The MTV generation goes as far back as being a teen in 1981 and usually refers to Gen Xers.

Ah, another thread created with the idea that whatever is super popular must not be well made or cool at all.

Cause clearly if a lot of people like it and you also like it, you aren't a special little snowflake anymore.

Is Halo overrated in some aspects, of course, but all great games have faults as well.

I didnt like Halo 3's multi player nearly as much as 1 or 2, but I am liking Halo Reach a lot now.

I liked unreal and quake in the day, and i played my share of Doom and Hexen and even Duke Nukem 3D.

What is the moral of the story.

If you enjoy a game, then enjoy it, and dont worry about what some forum troll has to say about it.

Oh, and if i kill you in a game don't yell a racial slur at me, or failing that at least use the right racial slur.

The game industry is starting to remind me of the music industry. theres a bunch of cocky, stuck up "elite" gamers who are all OH HALOS FOR POSERS WHAT A BUNCH OF LOSERS SYSTEM SHOCK FTW. Likewise, theres always some cocky stuck up "elite" music fan at every show complaining about how everyone likes Avenged Sevenfold instead of Behemoth or something...

This thread is a great laugh, though.

Do any of the Halos deserve critical reception they got

I have to say that you have to be a total idiot/fanboy to believe they deserve the scores they've gotten.

Halo: CE was a competent but unremarkable shooter with a forgettably soundtrack. It should've gotten scores of 8s or 7s or 6s

Halo 2 was slightly better, but more of the same generic fluff. It should've gotten 7s or 6s or 5s

Halo 3 is one of the worst FPS of this gen, even worse than the last two. It should've gotten scores of 5s or 4s or even 3s.

Halo 3 ODST was a painful experience, and an over-priced piece of shit. It should have gotten 2s or 3s.

Halo Wars was abysmal, that is all.

Reach was better than 3, but it was average at best. It deserved scores of 6s or 5s.

It quite clear to anyone who has good taste or mid to high standards to video games, that reviewers were obviously bribed by M$ to get such undeserved high scores.

Well since you like to share your thoughts so freely with people you have never had a meaningful discussion with.... here are my first thoughts about this thread and you in general......

You are an idiot.

Well if you can't take constructive criticism, then go back to mentally masturbating to your Halos!

I am not a big fan of Halo and think there are better FPS to play but seriously your arguments don't make much sense and it is easy to see that...
