Yeah you can definitely taste the pineapple in it. I don't really like wine in general but I don't mind this stuff, so I guess that says something. I got it from a pineapple plantation in Hawaii and I don't think they sell it anywhere other than Hawaii. It is pretty good and I think I only paid about 11 bucks a bottle (which is super cheap compared to buying alcohol in Canada).jp1 wrote:First I've heard of that. It sounds good. Does it have a lot of pineapple flavor?Para wrote: And three bottles of Pineapple Wine

Re: What is in your bar?
some russian standard vodka (the best as far as i'm concerned!), some jagermeister, some assorted coffee liqueurs (kahlua, starbucks, three olive, etc), soco, triple sec, amaretto cream, some ice wine vodka and ice cider.
i don't drink often, but that doesn't mean i'm gonna cut corners and pick up something cheap when i do! i've never understood people that pick up cheap booze for the sake of getting drunk.
need to pick up some crown royal soon, i've been dry in that department for way too long. :]

Re: What is in your bar?
In order of my preference and therefore consumption/refill rate:
24+ Budweiser cans (my standard as I've never had a hangover on them alone)
10+ Pilsner bottles (my best friend's standard - he carries about the same in reverse)
Random leftover beers (usually a couple TNT/Wildcat/Black-Ice for emergencies- there is a permanent ban on "DUDE" beer. Right now there's a couple Heineken and a Goblin Ale too.
Yukon Jack - mixes well, goes down easy, does the trick.
Vodka: Grey goose - occasionally Crystal Skull (good heirlooms - 3 filled with highlighter fluid&water for black-light effect so-far).
Jagermeister (bombing it works good - the girls love it)
Jack Daniels
Southern Comfort
Crown Royal
Sparkling white wine (midgrade)
Sambuka
Captain Morgan
Bombay Gin
Sherry (some oloroso crap)
Mudslide
Malibu
Red Wine (Dad makes it. Plentiful and good, but I don't drink it much)
Saki - cheap, and when served warm is super effective.
Mixes:
Simply Orange with pulp (I only drink this brand - all others pale in comparison. This is my lifeblood - I drink 1+ liter a day so I buy in bulk)
Pepsi (don't like Coke)
Clamato
7-UP
Redbull - don't like. Strictly for Jagerbombs and vodka. I really miss the Krating Daeng L that was sold here in the late early 00's, but I've resigned myself to the canned stuff. Not addicted anymore since the bottled stuff isn't accessible anymore.
When strapped for cash, I'll substitute Polar Ice vodka for a cheap fix, and let the other supplies run dry, but that's few and far between. The outside beer fridge (my bar) is rarely lacking.

Re: What is in your bar?
I wish I had a bar.
I don't even have a can of beer in my fridge right now. I'd probably stock up on some rum, vodka, and whiskey along with some mixers like midori, and baley's irish cream, but I am a social drinker and I have noone here to drink with.

Depends on the time of year, but in the fall & winter this is whats on my shelf.
A warm glass of Chaucer's Mead is great for the winters months.
Sam Adams Octoberfest has a perfect taste for the fall.
Hefeweizen of any kind taste great no matter what time of year.
And of course egg nog and rum helps me survive the holidays with my relatives.

That is what it is about. I don't know about you but what I keep in my bar and what I like are generally in close relation. Of course there are the off brands and such that I keep for company. If it was only me I would probably have a large selection of Gin and little else except for the American Honey for sipping.Luke wrote:Another drink thread eh?

My brands do fluctuate though based on sales. I generally have 3-4 acceptable brands. I loathe cheap liquor though even for mixing.
I see what you mean though...I updated the first post to reflect current stock.

Around here the 90 minute IPA runs about $12-13 for a four pack. I've never even seen a case for sale. I like it a lot and am especially fond of the extra punch since I hate weak beer but I just can't afford the stuff regularly.

Re: What is in your bar?
i don't have a bar, but if i did it would be stock full of busch light 30 packs and guinness on tap.
you cannot go wrong with 30 pack busch lights; perfect to pound them down, bong, and plenty for beer pong. and you cannot go wrong with guinness head. it is like desert! i was never really of fan of dark beer, but guinness head is soo amazing. and you can only get guinness head from a tap...i think.
