Phantasy Star Online V2 Serial

Okay here is the problem. I created a bunch of characters using a US serial however I have since bought a Euro copy and would like to use that serial from now on. (Euro doesnt suffer from some of the slow downs US does). Is there a way I can change the serial and still be able to use my current characters.

I have heard of a way to delete a serial from your char by going into the change room and powering off your dreamcast and the next time you load that char it asks you to input the serial again. I could see if it lets me use the Euro serial. Anyone know of a better way or know if this will or wont work?

Also I know I can load my US chars on my Euro copy but I cant target other team members (think its due to serial mismatch) so I need to change serial.

Erm you could get dream explorer, that lets you wipe your serial from your dreamcast. However i'm not sure how that might be useful for you. You could get a vmu transfer cable (or make one?) and then hex edit your save file.
