Share your Nintendo Channel Game-play Records

Post by Incognito D »

I just discovered the update, and with my love of pointless statistics I'm fascinated by looking at the stats for how long I've played each of my games.
Here's my top 10:

1) Pro Evolution Soccer 2008 - 180 hours
2) Mario Kart Wii - 150 hours
3) Super Mario Galaxy - 137 hours
4) Super Smash Bros Brawl - 99 hours
5) Wii Sports - 75 hours
6) Wario Land Shake Dimension - 69 hours
7) Pikmin 2 - 39 hours
8) Super Paper Mario - 27 hours
9) Resident Evil 4 - 25 hours
10) Super Mario 64 - 23 hours

I was suprised at Pro Ev being number 1. Although, with 2 other people in my house also playing it, it does kind of make sense. It came out almost 2 years ago, so I suppose an hour a day from three different people for a few months can make it all add up. I dread to think what Pro Ev 6 for the PS2 would read, seeing as we play it so much more.

No real other surpises. Everyone likes Mario Kart. Everyone likes Galaxy. I played through Wario Land twice so that accounts for the high time-count. Pikmin 2 was quite surpising. I haven't even beaten the challenge mode yet, just the regular game. Guess it's just a long game!
I just realised that No More Heroes isn't anywhere on the whole list at all - very strange! I played it quite a lot as well...

OK here's mine:

1: The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess - 53 hours 5 mins
2: The House of the Dead 2&3 Return - 18 hours
3: Muramasa: The Demon Blade - 16 hours
4: Onechanbara: Bikini Zombie Slayers - 15 hours 51 mins
5: Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: My Life as a Darklord - 13 hours
6: New Super Mario Bros. Wii - 12 Hours 54 mins
7: Pokemon Battle Revolution - 11 Hours
8: Wii Sports - 6 Hours
9: Wii Sports Resort - 4 hours 49 mins
10: Mario Party 8 - 4 Hours

The two most surprising are Battle Revolution and Mario Party. I don't even own them! I'm a little disappointed that Castle of Shikigami III didn't make the top 10. I guess that's a good excuse to play it more :)

My Wii games probably aren't very impressive, but my Melee data adds up to well over 1,000 hours.

I blog about games and art. Usually both at once. Check it out at your own risk.

Good God Zelda! Just checked mine today! Here's my top 10-

1) The Legend of Zelda: The Twilight Princess (337 Hrs. 59 Min.)
2) Okami (82 Hrs. 21 Min.)
3) Super Smash Bros. Brawl (77 Hrs. 22 Min.)
4) Dokapon Kingdom (71 Hrs. 54 Min.)
5) Super Mario Galaxy (68 Hrs. 6 Min.)
6) Metroid Prime 3: Corruption (67 Hrs. 41 Min.)
7) Super Mario Galaxy 2 (60 Hrs. 44 Min.)
8) Zack and Wiki (59 Hrs. 41 Min.)
9) Netflix (44 Hrs. 35 Min.)
10) The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time (44 Hrs. 3 Min.)

Some of these times are a little less than I think they should be, but whatever  .

The Twilight Princess was beaten or played significantly on my system by at least me, my brother, a roommate, two friends, and a girlfriend. That's why the time is so high!

Edit:  on "8"

8) Super Paper Mario - 27 hours
9) Resident Evil 4 - 25 hours
10) Super Mario 64 - 23 hours
Roughly one year on, time to see what's changed:

1) Pro Evolution Soccer 2008 - 186 hours
2) Mario Kart Wii - 157 hours
3) Super Mario Galaxy - 153 hours
4) Super Smash Bros Brawl - 103 hours
5) Wii Sports - 75 hours
6) Wario Land Shake Dimension - 70 hours
7) Okami - 67 hours *newcomer*
8 ) Super Mario Galaxy 2 - 63 hours *newcomer*
9) No More Heroes - 61 hours
10) Resident Evil 4 - 48 hours
---------------------------------------------------
11) Pikmin 2 - 39 hours
12) No More Heroes 2 - 39 hours *newcomer*
13) New Super Mario Bros - 38 hours *newcomer*
14) SEGA All-Stars Racing - 38 hours *newcomer*
15) Super Paper Mario - 27 hours

The top 6 remain unchanged, but haven't seen much (if any) playtime in the past year.
Okami comes in at number 7 after I played it all the way through back in April/ May (really great game).
Super Mario Galaxy 2 also enters for the first time - another game that I really enjoyed, (and played to completion).
No More Heroes finally got added to the service, so it's now on the list, although I can't tell how much I played it this year because I have no record to compare it to. :( I did re-play it last year at some point though in a (failed) attempt to get 100%.
I also re-played Resi 4 this year so it's still going strong.
Pikmin 2 hasn't been touched and has slid down the list, just above New Super Mario Bros Wii - a new entry. SEGA Racing was another new game this year and Super Paper Mario has also slid down after not being touched.
