We got all the info from them with some of the questions people suggested. A bigger version of the image which is a bit easier to read is here:
I was surprised how popular PS2 still is. And that only 12,091 copies of Mario 3 have ever sold on eBay. CofD Modern Warfare 2 sold more than 4 times that in one month.
Given how well the PS2 continues to sell games, I'm surprised the original Xbox and the Gamecube don't sell better, especially since the 360 and Wii have backwards compatibility and the PS3 doesn't (unless you're lucky to own an early version).

He was referring to sales of software titles, not console hardware. In essence, "if every Wii owner can also play Gamecube games, why aren't there any new Gamecube games?" There's an obvious answer there too, but it's not in J T's question.
Neat stuff. Wish I could see cheap Virtual Boys though! >:|

I think it may have to do with the collectability issue. PS2 versions of games are more collectable and generally fetch more than the Xbox or the GC versions. Also PS2 games are still being published while the other consoles of last gen have been long forgotten. Add the fact that theres just tons and tons of quality titles for PS2. It really has the best game library of any game system. Most of the games I own are PS2. All the GC really had was its first party titles. And the Xbox can't touch the PS2 library in terms of quality of titles.
