Get the S-Video cables if your TV supports them. Trust me, you'll have your mind blown with just how good your SNES can look.Lucas666 wrote:Yes, yes, composite cables, thank you.Hobie-wan wrote:I'm not sure... the only differences are the placement of Super (one is above mario world, the other is beside) the size of the image, and the quality of colour... also the on has a -1 at the end of the code in the bottom left corner of the cartridge.Lucas666 wrote:Is one perhaps a 'million seller' copy?
I'm guessing you meant composite cables. Racketboy sells some of those and s-video cables here.

Re: New Members: Introduce Yourself!
I was looking for this thread! Wow, I've been a member for a little over a month now and I'm just introducing myself. First heard about this site back in 2008, when I was searching for a way to play NES games on the go. Since then, I've been in and out, reading all the different guides and getting reacquainted with the older systems. This last month, however, the retro gamer in me has been booming and because of that, I haven't been able to finish Red Dead Redemption! I love the site and I dig the peaceful community (one of the best). There's one negative to this whole experience, though: I think I'm getting addicted to the thrift store! Maybe it's the combination of loving American Pickers on the History Channel and the old-school gaming.

Re: New Members: Introduce Yourself!
Guess I better get this out of the way. I have used this website for years to get info on consoles and their best games, but for some reason I have just not though of joining the forum.
I have been passively acquiring games and consoles for years now, not really "collecting" untill just recently. In the past few months I have ramped up my collection efforts and have made a huge addition to my collection. For some reason I am much more into collecting hardware, and only worry about the best games on the system. I dont really pick up every game i find, i want to play my games!
My current console list is: (somewhat chronological order)
ps3
xbox 360
DS Lite
xbox
gamecube x2
ps2 x2
Dreamcast x2 (personal favorite like many other gamers)
Neo geo pocket color
Wonderswan Color
Game Boy advance
Game Boy Color
N64 x2
Sega Saturn x3 (somehow i have ended up with 3 saturns in about a 1 week period)
32x
Genesis x2
Snes
Game Gear
Origina Game Boy
Nes
Sega Master System
Not the biggest collection but I dont feel its anything to laugh at. I love the atmosphere of this forum, getting to be around people with the same passion for collecting that i have is awesome and i hope to be a worthy addition to this community!
