I suggest BUYING Wipeout Pulse when it comes out next month (or last month in Europe), as well as Lumines. Outrun Coast 2 Coast is another definite BUY.

Yeah I heard about levelling up items by entering them or something. Also remember reading something about how you could throw your comrades and also stack them up to reach different places. And was there also another aspect of the game that involved colours? (might have been another SRPG). All this and the time commitment put me off it when it came out on the PS1. The PSP version is essentially a port right? Its on my to list for now.
At the very least Lumines 2 had Heavenly Star!
Back on topic, you could always play all those PS1 games on the PSP as well.
