I just left everything at the default. I should have ratcheted up the violence, though - didn't realize I could do that. All my games went 4 quarters.

Oh, try it. Max it out, and you'll see that a good tackle will kill an opponent. Just make sure you change the "reserves" option. Makes it a entirely different game.

Link's Awakening was really great, but I have to disagree with the group who say it's the best Zelda. Whilst it was fantastic, I prefer A Link to the Past and Oracles as far as 2D zelda games go. Still, it was an enjoyable and fun take on the zelda formula, and one that managed to have an interesting story despite not taking itself too seriously. Definetely a game boy favourite for me.

Luigi's Mansion was the game I played this Halloween, and I enjoyed it quite a lot. I can see why people might have been disappointed with it if it was their first GC launch title as its quite short and easy, but the gameplay manages to stay fun throughout despite repitition, and the fun spooky atmosphere is really well done. I love how Luigi hums along to the music.

No idea what I'm gonna play next.

Luigi's Mansion was my first GC launch title and i enjoyed it a lot. Being short and easy didnt bother me from the awesomeness that it is (no pun intended)

It's a classic, and still my favorite Mario Bros. game. Admittedly I was playing on the Super Mario All-Stars + Super Mario World cart for the SNES. Don't ever go from playing SMB 2 to Lost Levels and then back to SMB 2. Especially if you prefer playing as Luigi in SMB 2.

Well, I guess I am not as hardcore as everyone else but I finally completed a game from beginning to end yesterday. Don't laugh, I'm pretty darn close to the end on several its just hard to find the time to do the last few hours.

Anyways, I just finished Call of Duty 4 Modern Warfare on the XBOX 360. On easy mode.

Cool! I'm glad to hear it still holds its charm for a new player. I love original Metroid and still go back to it even though i passed it when it was first released (and many times since). Absolute classic.

I opted to play Metroid: Zero Mission when I played through earlier this year just because of the map. I never have beat the original Metroid, but I have played it a ton.
