Updated to the new dashboard and saw that Pinball FX 2 is free for download.

I would suggest picking it up. Haven't got a chance to play it yet. Love pinball but never tried a video game one. Free is a good price to try it out.

It's not free. You have to pay for the tables. If you have Pinball FX then go ahead and get it, you can play all your Pinball FX tables in the new engine plus the new tables are only 800MSP which is definitely worth it in my opinion.

No it's kinda like Gameroom in that the actual software is free to download, but to populate it with something that you can actually play you must pay for it. Thankfully they haven't decided to do micro-transactions with this and offered the full package of new tables at the same price that Pinball FX launched at years ago. Considering most new releases on XBLA are 1200MSP (a fucking rip off and I hate that they price them so high) it seems to be a pretty good deal, especially since you can use your Pinball FX tables (plus your DLC) on it.

I think you can get your achievements all over again as well for the old tables. Bonus!

Pinball FX2 is AWESOME. I believe it's 650 achievement points too (I have all the available tables.) So worth picking up even if just for the core tables at 800pts.

The only crappy thing about it is that Pinball FX no longer has the DLC tables available for it, which sucks because I forgot to pick them up. Ah well.
