Wii Update Issue

I did a quick search and couldn't sort through all of the junk that came up so I am starting a new thread. Feel free to direct me to, merge this thread with, and scold me for not noticing an existing post.

Has anyone had trouble updating their Wii lately? I get about half way through and it says there is an error. The error code says it could be too much traffic to the Nintendo site, but that it could also be my wireless settings. My computer is working fine wirelessly and I am on Netflix watching movies every night via the wireless connection so I am a bit confused. Any ideas?

I had this problem trying to access the shop channel over a couple of weeks (with just casual attempts to update when it reminded me), but then one day I tried it and it simply worked.

My wireless network at home hiccups frequently, and I theorize that might screw up the updating process. Perhaps someone else could confirm.
